NYFW Spring 2014 – Altuzarra

Joseph Altuzarra is definitely one of the young new designers to watch. There was a lot of buzz around this highly anticipated show. The collection featured a lot of strong pieces that were chic and expensive looking. You can totally picture some Upper East Side well dressed ladies having lunch at Bergdorf Goodman in these clothes. Some of the skirts were a little too close to blankets for me, but that’s likely to change by the time these pieces hit stores – the clothes are often a little more exaggerated for the runway. There were also a lot of beautiful blouses and some really chic mullet shaped ponchos. The high slits of the skirts and dresses added some sex appeal and the fringe pieces added some fun – and both worked well together. And loved the metallic pieces and suits that closed the show.
