Red Carpet Style at the Golden Globes

Like many fashion lovers, I’m anxiously awaiting this year’s red carpet arrivals at the Golden Globes, and I couldn’t be more excited. The Golden Globes is an award show where stars can afford to take a few more risks and have a little more fun with their fashion choices than they would at the Oscars. And there are certain stars that always know how to consistently bring it on the red carpet and you can always count on those women to wear something that will get people talking. Some looks are so striking, they’re hard to forget – even many years later.

Nicole Kidman looked incredible in Yves Saint Laurent (by Tom Ford) in 2003. Her huge chandelier earrings started a major trend that year and I still think of them often (no joke). Jennifer Lopez was her usual diva self in a retro Marchesa gown in 2007. It had a definite Elizabeth Taylor and Jackie Onassis vibe. And of course Kate Hudson, in one of my all time favourite looks, rocking a black and gold embellished Alexander McQueen dress at last year’s awards. It was totally Dynasty glamour, which I always love to see on the red carpet. You can check out my full Golden Globe red carpet review from last year here.

So, who will make the most stunning red carpet appearance tonight? I have some guesses. And I’ll be on CTV Morning Live Calgary tomorrow morning at 8:18 talking about the winners (and maybe some losers) at tonight’s show. If you’re around, please tune in!
