“Gianni, This Is For you.” Supermodel Icons Reunite for Incredible Tribute to Gianni Versace

Carla Bruni, Claudia Schiffer, Donatella, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford & Helena Christensen.

My girls are back! By now most of you have seen the photos. Donatella’s brilliant tribute to her brother Gianni during Milan Fashion Week, 20 years after his death, included a finale the fashion world is still buzzing about. Uniting original 1990s supermodels Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Helena Christensen and Carla Bruni, Donatella created one of the best and most memorable fashion moments in years. I still can’t get over it (when I first saw the photos I squealed – loudly). All five legendary models looked as amazing as ever (if not better) and reminded us there’s a good reason why they will forever be credited for term supermodel Continue reading

Julia Dunstall Returns to Modeling in New Dean Davidson Campaign

DD Sping campaign

Top Model Julia Dunstall in new spring campaign for Dean Davidson

One of the best parts of working for Dean Davidson (a growing Canadian jewelry company), is the chance to work on many cool projects. And one of my favourites is being involved in shooting the new campaigns. It’s fun – and you feel fancy, in a behind-the-scenes kind of way. As Dean’s brand continues to grow, this season’s new campaign was designed to represent the elevation of his brand and how the line, which began in 2007, is entering a new era.  Continue reading

Iconic supermodels Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell pose with Olivier Rousteing.

HOLY SHIT. Nothing makes me more excited than when my favourite supermodels from the 90s reunite. Thanks to Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing, it’s happened once again for a fashion campaign dreams are made of – at least my dreams. Legendary supermodels Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer and Naomi Campbell star in Balmain’s new Spring 2016 campaign and, of course, it’s incredible.  Continue reading

Cindy Crawford’s New Book – Becoming

Cindy Crawford

Like many supermodel fans – and gays – I’ve been a huge fan of Cindy Crawford since I was a teenager. When I was in junior high, her photos and many Vogue covers covered my locker and bedroom walls. So I couldn’t have been more excited when Crawford announced releasing her new book Becoming (in anticipation of her upcoming 50th birthday in February), which chronicles her legendary career as one of the original supermodels.  Continue reading

Many of the world’s top supermodels (dubbed the ‘new supers’ and the ‘Instagirls‘) descended on Paris fashion week for Atelier Versace’s fall 2015 couture show. Versace’s gang of supermodels, including Lara Stone, who opened the show, Jamie Bochert, Fei Fei Sun, Doutzen Kroes, Joan Smalls, Anja Rubik, Kendall Jenner and Karlie Kloss, shined as they walked down a runway made of 26,000 orchids underneath glass panels.  Continue reading

Chanel Does Fancy Parisian Chic for Fall Collection at “Brasserie Gabrielle”

Chanel1

Supermodel Joan Smalls at Chanel’s Fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection

Karl Lagerfeld’s done it again. Chanel’s latest runway show took place in a stunning Coco Chanel-themed restaurant built specifically for the runway presentation in the Grand Palais. Styled like a traditional Parisian brasserie, “Brasserie Gabrielle” was one of Chanel’s most authentic runway sets to date. It was chic. It was French. And it was very Chanel. After all, who doesn’t love Paris and enjoying the atmosphere of an authentic Parisian brasserie while drinking champagne?! After visiting Paris for the first time last May, I can definitely say I do.  Continue reading

Gisele Gets Fancy (And Sporty) For Chanel N°5

It’s here: supermodel Gisele stars in Baz Luhrmann’s second short film for Chanel N.5, titled “The One That I Want,” and in typical Luhrmann fashion (no pun intended), it’s striking and intense. The three minute short film/ad (a 30 and 60 sec version will soon follow on TV) shows a somewhat different image from what the iconic fragrance has projected over the years. Continue reading

Kate Moss And Gucci’s Jackie Bag – A Perfect Combo

How do you get a bag to become a must-have of the season? Simple. Get Kate Moss to star in the campaign and it’ll happen. Moss stars in Gucci’s new short film for their new ‘Jackie’ bag collection, named after Jackie Onassis of course. And Moss was the perfect choice to represent the popular and iconic bag. Few models have the same style cred as the legendary model.  Continue reading
